Origin: Originally, Kudzu is a native plant from southern Japan, Eastern Asia and Southeast China.  Its common name of Kudzu is derived from its Japanese name.  Recently, Kudzu has been considered a real agricultural problem primarily in the south eastern United States.  This ivy like plant has grown over millions of acres without any natural predator [photo].  However recent research has discovered a number of modern uses which is in the process of reclassifying the plant.

Description:Kudzu is a climbing perennial vine with a semi-woody stalk that can reach the heights of 66-98 feet tall trees.  The deciduous broad leaves grow extensively over lower vegetation.
